What we do
Since inception, FLF has qualitatively implemented the following projects:
FORD Foundation funded Civic Education and Capacity Building Workshop for more than 2000 female students across Nigerian tertiary institutions. The geographical coverage cut across the six geopolitical zones and a national round off at the F.C.T.
Gender Advocacy Project for male and female student leaders in Tertiary Institutions
EIDHR funded Voters Mobilization and Electoral Mandate Protection Advocacy Project for Students in Tertiary Institutions. 6000 Nigerian students, that is 1000 from each of the geopolitical zones were the direct beneficiaries of this project.
OSIWA funded Leadership Training and Capacity Building for young women in Nigeria’s Tertiary Institution. 120 female participants were drawn from ninety-six (96) tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
CIDA funded Participatory Governance Workshop for Young Women in Tertiary Schools
Nigerian Schools Project for students in primary and secondary schools. Participants cuts across over 100 primary and secondary schools in Lagos.
ESSPIN/DFID funded Community Demand and Accountability Projects: FLF was actively engaged in the provision of capacity building, monitoring, and supportive supervision to over 100 public primary and junior secondary schools grouped in 17 SBMC clusters, in Oshodi-Isolo and Ikeja LGs in Lagos state. Under the ESSPIN Project, FLF sensitized over 10,000 community members in Ikeja and Oshodi- Isolo LGs in Lagos state for the purpose of community involvement in education in the areas of governance, transparency and accountability.
