FLF CELEBRATES THE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL CHILD

In celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child on the 11th of October 2021,  the Female Leadership Forum  visited Early Heights Secondary school to educate the girls on the theme ‘Digital  Generation, Our Generation’ . Mrs Mary Ezeigbo highlighted the challenges girls face in today’s world in  accessing the internet and becoming digital literates.  A poll was conducted and it was noted that the boys were more  involved in STEM jobs than the girls. Also, some young female digital trailblazers such as Emmanuella Oziofu  were identified and their impact in this generation. She finally concluded by encouraging the girls to become more involved in programmers aimed at learning the use of ICT and technology and using it for the advancement of their skills.
